Team and CouncilNo entries from Nimiq team or Community Council accounts.
The houseThis blog's own wallets cannot rank. They take the entries and hold the prize, so the scoring leaves them out in code rather than asking you to trust that it would.
Scoring, ties and the prizeTen more rules
The scoreEach of the seven figures is guessed as a percent change, and your score is the average gap across them. A wrong call on the yes/no costs another 10 points. Lowest score wins.
No going overOnly the distance counts. Being over is the same as being under.
The NIM lineThe NIM figure on the balance sheet, 132.0m last year. Not the 1,392,707,424 NIM the treasury has staked.
The new asset lineThe only one that is not a figure. Does the 2026 sheet list an asset type the 2025 one did not? Answer yes or no.
A missing lineIf the report does not print one of the seven figures, it is dropped from every score alike.
If the report lands firstEntries close at the deadline above, or when Nimiq publishes the report, whichever comes first. Anything sent after publication is void. Both times are public: a block timestamp and the date in Nimiq's feed.
Changing your mindSend another entry. The last one from an address before the deadline is the one that counts.
A tieThe earlier block wins, so entering early breaks a tie your way.
The prize$5 in USDC, held at 0xeCe9925d59d3B438F371C9f66ac8F1c53B4B2F18 on Polygon, where anyone can check it before entering. The contest wallet above holds the entries, not the prize.
Getting paidUSDC cannot be sent to a Nimiq address, and a winner is known here only by the address their entry came from. So the winner claims: send one more transaction from the winning address with a Polygon address in its data field. The same key that entered names where the money goes, and both halves stay on chain. Would rather have NIM? Say so in that data field instead and it goes straight to the winning address, priced on the day.
